St. Andrew the Apostle Parish School of Religion supports the
family in striving to provide the best religious education program
possible for the children. We serve as instruments through which
each child may grow more aware of their relationship with God and
develop the values of faith through teachings of Catholic Doctrine,
the example of Christian witness, and opportunities for building
relationships and offering service within the context of the
Christian Community.
Our objective is to cooperate with the parents, the prime educators,
to help each child develop a right conscience, guide them in forming
a Christian value system, provide the environment and opportunities
for forming Christian relationships and parish involvement, and aid
them to make a Christian commitment part of their lifestyle now and
for their future.
We feel the teachers can best meet these objectives through Religious
instruction, encouragement to seek reception of the sacraments of
Reconciliation and Eucharist, Sacramental Initiation (First Penance,
First Eucharist and Confirmation) at the appropriate age/grade level,
and Parent/Teacher communication.
